Go for the Gold

Go for the Gold


This course is required training to earn the Girl Scout Gold Award. Girls and volunteers will review Girl Scout Gold Award requirements and completing the required Journeys. Girls will learn how to explore their community and issues that are important to them, develop a project plan, measure their personal outcomes, and ensure the impact of their Take Action project is sustainable. Must register to attend.

An International Teen Climate Challenge! for US and Canada

Project Polar Bear invites teens in teams of 2 or 3 with an adult advisor to conduct greenhouse gas emissions reduction projects and win a chance to see polar bears in Canada!

The projects are in four categories:
Power Down
Increase the Green
Buy Recycled
Make it Better, Do it Better

Teen teams have a blog to track their progress on the Polar Bears International website!

Finalists win a trip to San Diego. Grand prize winners win a trip to Churchill, MB Canada, the Polar Bear Capital of the World!
