The fabulous Ladies of Troop #301 are pleased to invite your Girl Scouts ages Brownie through Seniors to participate in an AWESOME day-long series of clinics aimed at teaching them to care for their beautiful selves - both Inside & Out! In addition to the information listed here, I have attached the flier and registration form below!

 

What: The Second Annual - Girl Scouts are Beautiful - Inside & Out!

We would love for you to join us on April 23rd for a day of fun! Each girl in attendance will learn a lot about themselves and one another. Girls will learn how to keep their insides beautiful and working properly, and also how to take care of their outsides and appearances. They will have the opportunity to ask questions, get answers, and take home information that they can use everyday.

This event is open to girls age brownie level & above. The event will last all day and should provide an opportunity for girls at every level to learn a lot while fulfilling multiple badge requirements. Each age level will have the opportunity to attend clinics filled with information specific to their badge earning levels.

When: April 23, 2011 from 9:00 am - 4:30 pm

Where: Centennial Hills YMCA

How Many? We have room for up to 180 girls. Last year the event filled up in just a few weeks, so if you are interested please reach out to us as soon as possible.

Clinics Available (we have several more that we are still waiting for confirmation on):

Skincare  - Inside and Out

Girls will have the opportunity to meet with a dermatologist and an esthetician to learn how to care for their body’s largest organ.

Stress Less Clinic

Girls will learn how to identify stresses in their lives, and in effect, productive ways of dealing with those stresses.

Q&A with the O.B.

Cadettes and Seniors only—With a sensitive issues permission slip, young ladies will be able to learn from a pediatric gynecologist, how to care for their constantly changing body.

My body is a temple!

The girls will get to meet with a pediatrician to learn about the benefits of healthy living and the negative effects of poor choices.

Everyday Nutrition

After meeting with a dietician, the girls will learn how to make healthy dietary choices and prepare healthy foods.

Its all in the details!

The young ladies will get to chat with a hair stylist, nail technician and make-up artist to learn how care for their appearance in a classy and age appropriate way.

Fashion and Accessories

Ladies will have a chance to learn how to select a wardrobe, to create styles and how to be themselves.

Being Fit is Fun!

The girls will have the chance to participate in aerobics and yoga classes aimed at their age group. They will also receive traing in proper equipment use and operation in the gym. They will learn the benefits of living a fit and healthy lifestyle!

Smile Like you Mean it!!!

A meeting with a dentist and orthodontist will help the girls learn how to properly care for their smiles, while also learning about options for correcting dental problems.

WAGGGS  International AIDS Awareness Badge Clinic

Cadettes and Seniors Only— Sensitive Issues Permission Slip required. We will cover basic knowledge and understanding, misinformation, facts vs. myths, transmission, tolerance, treatment, etc. Parents may attend this clinic as well.

In addition, this program will fulfill multiple requirements for each of the “Your Story” Journeys programs!

Also, all girls will earn their council level Sun Safe Badge!!!

These represent the maximum possible requirements that may be fulfilled through attendance at all clinics.

I would have loves to attended this event with my scouts, but somehow I missed the memo :( We'll be looking forward to next year..
