We always go camping at Pine Valley Utah. The campground is called Dean Gardner. It is right on the Lake. You can fish there etc. We have seen deer, chipmunks, and racoons there too. We like site 15.

Cary,

Zion National Park is a really great place to camp, it will take just over 2 hours to get to. Nice campground and lots to do. If your troop is younger they have a wonderful Junior Ranger program. If they are older and you want to camp for free or reduced rates contact the Rangers and offer to do some Community Service work, they have in the past had girls pickup trash for a couple of hours in exchange for free camping spaces.

Hi Cary, 2 hours does limit you, but red rock canyon has a nice groop site, perfect for first or second time campers, Valley of Fire has two groop sites, better for girls that have camped more than one or two times, there is a lot to see in the valley. You would want to camp both of these in the spring or fall.
