Don't Forget Us - Silver Award Project

Some of the girls from Cadette Troop 417 are in the process of earning their Girl Scout Silver Award. Their project is titled 'Don't Forget Us'. Their goal is to raise awareness in our community about violence through flyers and a website,http://dontforgetusgs.webs.com/. The girls have also organized a dedication ceremony at Floyd Lamb Park where they will dedicate a tree in memorium of victims of violence and their families. The tree dedication will be held on Saturday, June 2nd at Floyd Lamb Park from 10:00am-12:00pm. The park has waived the parking fee for guests. Just mention you are there for the Girl Scout Silver Award dedication. Anyone is welcome to attend, especially if you know of any victims of violence or family members affected. Chasey, Natalie and Piper have worked hard on this project because it's an issue they care deeply about. Please come out and support their efforts. We'll see you there!!!
