I've heard that gift wrapping is not permitted as a fundraising endeavor for troops. Our troop would like to do gift wrapping duting the holiday season when there are no official GS product sales, so is gift wrapping still not permitted? If it is not permitted, why? Gift wrapping is a low-risk, fun fundraising opportunity through which our Girl Scouts can prepare for and furter instill all of the same life skills learning benefits that they get from selling cookies. It would tremendously help us raise the funds we need to travel to Washington, DC to participate in the once-in-a-lifetime Rock the Mall celebration in honor of 100 years of Girl Scouting.

So, please, please say it isn't so! :-) Please tell me that the rumor that gift wrapping is not permitted is just a myth! Lastly, if we are not permitted to do gift wrapping as a troop fundraiser, why not? Thanks a bunch!
