Event Description
The Las Vegas Rotary Club has been a significant contributor to Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada through the years. They have financially supported numerous projects at Camp Foxtail, purchased the flagpoles and flags in front of the service center, and provided the equipment we use to produce the information disks for troops. Now it's our turn to support them. Each year the club conducts a friendly competition with the Kiwanis Club to see which organization can bring in the most non-perishable items and donate them to families in need. We are inviting troops to help with this effort.
If you would like to participate, please bring in your non-perishable food items to the Council Shop by November 1-24th. You will receive one Give Thanks Patch per person for every 2 items donated. For more information contact Toni Carey at 385-3677, ext. 239.

What a great project for the girls Haunani. So many valuable lessons learned!

Cadette Troop 450 will be participating in this food drive. Last year we were Juniors, the girls voted on a budget, made up a Thanksgiving menu and we took the troop shopping and they price compared and were able to buy 3 complete Thanksgiving meals complete with canned ham, and all the trimmings, and came in under budget. They are excited to do this again.
