A few years ago when my troop was Bridging from Brownies to Juniors we did this beautiful ceremony, see below, that both the girls and their families loved. I just wanted to share it with you so you could use it!!!
Rainbow Candle Ceremony
Use 12 candles of the colors listed below (or tie a ribbon of each color to white candles). One by one, each person steps forward to light a candle and read the words appropriate to their candle.
Silver-stands for the morning, the beginning of a new day, when each day presents another challenge.
Yellow-Stands for daisy, the beginning of Girl Scouting.
Pink-Stands for all the girls in Girl Scouting.
White-Stands for the purity in every Girl Scouts heart.
Red - Stands for the courage and strength of character of Girl Scouts everywhere.
Gold-Stands for the Trefoil pin that reminds us of our Girl Scout Promise.
Purple-Stands for the horizon, the future toward which we look.
Turquoise-Stands for water, which sustains life in addition to giving us pleasure.
Brown-Stands for earth upon which we live.
Green-Stands for all plant life which beautifies our earth.
Blue-Stands for our sky, under which we all are united by our ideals.
Orange-Stands for a sunset, which signifies the closing of another day.
